This Shipping Policy contains important information regarding the terms and conditions which apply to the shipping of products you purchase from Urban Farm-It's online store.

Please carefully read this Shipping Policy, which forms an integral part of our Terms and Conditions of Sale, before making any purchase.

1. Delivery Completion

1.1 Delivery of our products is considered complete when they depart from our storage facilities (EXW, Incoterms 2010). The products always travel at your risk, even if they are being sent carriage free. The risk of loss, damage or destruction of the goods supplied by Urban Farm-It is borne by you, the customer, from the moment of departure from our storage facilities.

2. Shipping and Packaging

2.1 Urban Farm-It reserves the right to determine the method of transport, shipping, and packaging, unless you, the customer, provide further indication or specific requirements.

Any specific requirements from you will only be performed if you declare your agreement to bear the corresponding costs.

If you'd like your parcel left in a safe place, this needs to be arranged directly through the courier's website or delivery notification. To enable this function you must leave a valid email address. Once your order is on its way, you should receive a notification from the courier with a link to manage your delivery. Simply follow that link to choose a safe place or make any other delivery preferences. We’re unable to set a safe place on your behalf.

3. Delivery Timelines

3.1 The stated periods for delivery and implementation are not binding and should be treated as target dates. Urban Farm-It strives to have grow to order products ready for delivery within the advertised lead time. However, unless otherwise agreed upon, e.g., for larger orders, failure to meet the said time of delivery does not provide grounds for the cancellation of an order or agreement, nor does it entitle you to any kind of compensation.

4. Partial Delivery

4.1 Urban Farm-It explicitly reserves the right to deliver orders by instalments, each of which will qualify as a partial sale. The delivery of an order by instalments cannot justify the refusal to pay for the products supplied.

5. Damaged or Incomplete Deliveries

5.1 In the event that the products supplied are damaged, incomplete, there is any error, missing weight, or any other irregularity, you are obliged to either refuse to accept the products upon delivery or to accept them subject to a written reservation.

5.2 All issues relating to the condition of delivered goods, including damage, incorrect items, missing weight, or suspected contamination, must be reported in writing within twenty-four (24) hours of delivery, accompanied by clear photographic evidence. This strict time window is essential due to the perishable nature of our spawn products, where even short delays in reporting may make it impossible to determine the cause of any deterioration. After the lapse of the twenty-four (24) hour period, the products will be deemed to have been finally and irrevocably accepted, and no further complaints will be entertained.

5.3 During periods of hot weather, Urban Farm-It reserves the right to delay dispatch to preserve the quality of perishable goods. If a customer requests that an order be shipped during such conditions, Urban Farm-It cannot be held liable for any deterioration in product condition as a result of heat exposure during transit.

6. Return of Goods

6.1 No goods may be returned without our written permission. Such permission does not in any way imply that the goods have been acknowledged by Urban Farm-It as being defective or non-conforming. Goods being returned, regardless of the method of return, remain at your risk and must be sent to our warehouse, carriage free.

7. Failure of Delivery

7.1 In the event of your failure to provide adequate delivery instructions or unjustified refusal to accept delivery of the products, Urban Farm-It is entitled to, without prejudice to any other right or remedy available, store the products until actual delivery and charge you for the reasonable costs thereof, including insurance costs, with a minimum of 10% of the value of the goods per month started; or terminate the Contract forthwith and sell the products.

7.2 You shall bear any and all costs, including original and return carriage costs, associated with any unjustified refusal of delivery of products ordered pursuant to a Contract.

Urban Farm-It reserves the right to amend this Shipping Policy at any time without prior notice to you. This policy is governed and should be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the country where the business is registered.

8. Shipping Rates

8.1 Shipping costs for your order are non-refundable and are based on the weight of the items you order, as well as your location. The date of delivery for your order may vary due to carrier shipping practices, delivery location, method of delivery, and the quantity of items ordered. in addition, your order may be delivered in separate shipments.

8.2 Additional shipping charges may apply depending on your location and the size of your order. You are responsible for all taxes applicable to the delivery of your order, including sales tax, value added tax, customs duties, and excise duties. If there is any damage to the items that you ordered on delivery, you must contact us within 24 hours from receipt of your order.

9. Order Tracking

9.1 If a tracking number is provided by the shipping carrier, we will update your order with the tracking information. Please note that some orders sent with Royal Mail will not have tracking numbers.

10. International Shipping Policies

10.1 You are responsible for ensuring to comply with laws and regulations of the country of destination. Urban Farm-It does not have any responsibility on these additional charges that may apply.

10.2 Certain countries may require certain documentation before the items are sent. If the necessary information is not provided, this may result in delays in the order.

11. Severability

11.1 If any portion of this Shipping Policy is held by any court or tribunal to be invalid or unenforceable, either in whole or in part, then that part shall be severed from this Shipping Policy and shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other section listed in this document.

12. Miscellaneous

12.1 Any failure by Urban Farm-It to enforce any provision of this Shipping Policy shall not be treated as a waiver of that provision, nor shall it affect Urban Farm-It’s right to subsequently enforce that provision. If Urban Farm-It is required to enforce its rights, you agree to pay Urban Farm-It’s reasonable legal costs and fees if Urban Farm-It is successful in such enforcement.
